Survival mode allows the player to build and survive in a hostile environment, the main difference from endurance being that the game doesn't end when the players die, they simply re-spawn. Endurance mode challenges the player to move as far as possible from the origin of the world before their entire party dies. Endurance, Survival, Free Build and Dragon Endurance. There is a day night cycle, during the night part of the cycle the monsters on the surface of the world become extremely hostile, forcing the player to retreat to the caverns underground, or a base which they have constructed. The further away from the tower that the player moves the more hostile the world becomes. Many of the biomes contain a themed dragon that the player must defeat.
The world is an infinite dynamically generated block based world, where biomes appears as concentric rings around the origin of the world that is marked with a tall tower.
