Internet Safety: discusses the ways in which individuals can be victimized online and provides useful information about how to manage one’s online presence to avoid potentially dangerous situations. The program encourages both documented and undocumented immigrant victims and witnesses to cooperate with law enforcement. Immigrant Fraud Prevention: addresses the victimization of immigrants, particularly in fraudulent schemes, and how individuals can protect themselves from these scams. Identity Theft: addresses the types of crimes that can be committed over the Internet and how individuals can protect themselves in cyberspace. Human Trafficking: describes the types of human trafficking crimes that occur locally, including sex trafficking and labor trafficking, how to identify these situations and resources available to victims. Gang Awareness: discusses the changing landscape of street gangs in Manhattan and describes the consequences of gang involvement. Elder Abuse: addresses the types of crimes that can be committed against the elderly and how to protect seniors from falling prey to such crimes. Domestic Violence: Adult and Teen Dating Abuse: engages participants in a discussion about domestic violence and teen dating violence, including how to identify signs. Bullying: discusses forms of bullying, how to recognize it, and how young people and adults can address bullying situations and prevent them from occurring. Child Abuse: informs participants how to identify child abuse and discusses the issues relating to the mandatory reporting of child abuse and neglect. PRESENTATION ASSISTANT NEW YORK FREE
Using scenarios, the curriculum encourages individuals to explore issues including diversity, free speech, and the particular threat of hate and bias crimes to our democratic society.
Bias and Hate Crimes: Don’t Be Tolerant of Intolerance: discusses bias and hate crimes. Arrest to Sentence: An Overview of the Criminal Justice Process: explains the role of a District Attorney and the criminal justice process in New York County, including what happens from arrest through sentencing. Assist the marketing team (as needed) to facilitate marketing the events.Assistant District Attorneys and staff conduct over 300 presentations each year on various public safety related topics. Generate articles and interviews for the Facades+ website, work with Programming Manager and Editorial team to develop new content. Follow up with speakers to request use of presentations. Travel to Events, coordinate speakers the day-of the event, stage manage theevent and coordinate timekeeping. Speaker Relations and Follow up on any speaker stipends, etc. Help Events Marketing Manager with VIP dinners and other speaker-relatedactivities. Coordinate with speakers to receive and handle presentation files before and during event. Assist speakers/panelists with their presentations. Working with Events Marketing Assistant to Prepare Press Releases, MarketingCopy for Blasts, Social Media. 
Coordinate with AN editorial on blog posts related to the event for marketingpurposes. Facilitate communication with speakers’ firm’s marketing department and AN marketing team. Retrieve assets from speakers (headshots, bios, project images, marketing contacts). Work with the designers on conference website/marketing aspects including copy for blasts and making sure the website is up-to-date. Manage event details including agenda, speaker topics and website content. Research and Recruit eligible speakers for events (Recruitment oversight of 200+ speakers a year). Selecting Keynotes, Co-Chairs, Speakers and Topics for each conference, 4-6 months in advance. Support the Programming Director in all of the following:.
